- 22 November 2018 -
In Mirabel, near Montreal, Canada, Airbus has rolled out the first A220-300 jet for Air Tanzania.
The African airline will become the next operator of the type after AirBaltic, Swiss, Korean Air and Delta. Air Tanzania has ordered two A220s.
In December 2016, the Dar-es-Salaam based carrier ordered two Bombardier CSeries CS300 aircraft (now A220-300) and one Q400 turboprop. The airline currently operates one Boeing 787 Dreamliner, delivered earlier this year, plus four Bombardier Dash 8 turboprops: 0ne Dash 8-300 and one Q400.
Apart from the A220, EgyptAir currently operates a fleet of 15 Airbus aircraft and has 15 A320neo aircraft on order. (Photo: Airbus)
