JetSmart receives its first A320neo

JetSmart, an ultra-low-cost airline from Chile, has taken delivery of its first Airbus A320neo.
The aircraft is leased from SMBC Aviation Capital and powered by two Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan engines. The ambitious airline will lease five A320neo aircraft from SMBC, but has a total of over 80 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft on order. JetSmart is founded by global private investment fund Indigo Partners. It began operations in July 2017.
The airline currently operates a fleet of eleven Airbus A320ceo family aircraft powered by the IAE V2500 engines. It intends to fly one hundred aircraft in 2026. (Photo: Airbus)
