IndiGo orders 300 A320neo Family aircraft
- 29 October 2019 - IndiGo (India) has placed a firm order for 300 A320neo Family aircraft. It is one of the biggest Airbus orders ever.
The order comprises a mix of A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR. The number of A320neo Family aircraft ordered by IndiGo now totals 730. It is the first time the airline orders the long range A321XLR, showing IndiGo's ambitions to begin services to longer-haul destinations.
Low-fare airline IndiGo is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world. It received its first A320neo in March 2016, and a fleet of 90 A320neo plus 7 A321neo make it the biggest operator of the A320neo Family. It also has 128 A320ceos in service and 22 ATR 72s.
So far the A320neo Family had received firm orders for around 7,000 aircraft from well over 100 customers worldwide. (Image: Airbus)
