Vietjet chooses Airbus A321XLR
- 31 October 2019 -
Vietnamese carrier Vietjet has announced that it will operate twenty Airbus A321XLR aircraft. It placed a firm order for fifteen and converted five A321neo aircraft from its existing order backlog.
Vietjet will be one of the first airlines to operate the extra long-range version of the A321. The aircraft allows the airline to expand its network with longer routes across Asia, to Australia and Russia.
Vietjet is one of the fastest growing carriers in the Asian region. Including the new order, Vietjet has now ordered a total of 186 A320 Family aircraft. Sixty of these have been delivered. Vietjet's outstanding Airbus backlog is entirely composed of A321neo aircraft. (Image: Airbus)
