- 18 November 2019 -
Low-cost carrier Air Arabia (Middle East, North Africa) has placed a firm order for 120 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. The order comprises 73 A320neos, 27 A321neos and 20 A321XLRs.
The contracts were signed at the 2019 Dubai Airshow. The order reflects Air Arabia's big growth plans. The airline currently operates an all-Airbus fleet of 54 A320 Family jets: 17 A320 and 3 A321LR jets. The aircraft are operated by three sister airlines, based in Sharjah, Egypt and Morocco. The new order for the A320neo, A321neo and A321XLR complements Air Arabia's existing fleet and allows it to expand services to new and farther destinations.
So far, the A320neo Family has received well over 7,000 firm orders from over 110 customers worldwide. (Image: Airbus)
