AirAsia X brings A330neo total to 100

AirAsia X has ordered 34 more Airbus A330neo aircraft. This brings the total number of A330neos in the future fleet of AirAsia X to 100 aircraft. The airline is the biggest A330neo customer so far. All planes for AirAsia X are of the A330-900neo model, the largest version.
AirAsia X and Airbus announced the order at the Farnborough Air Show. The A330neo's range makes it possible to fly nonstop services from Kuala Lumpur to Europe, including London. The airline will become the first A330neo operator in Asia and Deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of 2019. The A330s will be based at airports in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.
