Airbus delivers Garuda's first A330neo

Airbus A330-900 Garuda Indonesia.

Garuda Indonesia has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330-900. This widebody jet is the first of 14 A330-900s ordered by the airline.

Garuda already operates 24 Airbus A330 Family aircraft on regional and long-haul routes: seven A330-200’s and seventeen A330-300s. The A330neo is intended as fleet modernisation and to support growth plans. The airline will use the A330neo on non-stop services from Jakarta to key destinations in Europe, including Amsterdam Schiphol.

Garuda’s A330-900 cabin is configured for 301 passengers in a two class lay-out with 24 seats in business class and 277 in economy class. (Photo: Airbus)
