Airbus A330-300 WOW Air
Airbus A330-300 (A330-343) - WOW Air (Iceland) - EC-MIO - Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) - August 2016 -
The airline suspended operations in March 2019. WOW Air was a low-cost airline based at Reykjavik Keflavik International Airport in Iceland. It was founded in 2011 by entrepreneur Skú Mogensen and it began operations the following year. It was building up a hub and spoke network at Keflavik Airport, connecting destinations in Europe and North-America. Late 2018 it ran into financial trouble and was forced to shrink its all Airbus fleet. After several attempts to find financial support from other airlines, including Icelandair and IndiGo, to keep the airline flying, it collapsed on 28 March 2019. During its existence, it operated five A320's, one A320neo, eight A321s, three A321neos and three A330-300s.
