- 21 December 2018 -
Boeing has delivered the first 737 MAX for Royal Air Maroc (RAM). The aircraft is painted in a special livery.
RAM will take delivery of three more 737 MAX 8 airplanes over the next few months. The airline already flies with 37 Next Generation 737s, a mix of 737-700s and 737-800s. The Royal Air Maroc MAX 8 seats up to 178 passengers in a two-class configuration and can fly 6,570 kilometers (3,550 nm), 1,112 km (600 nm) farther than the 737-800. Royal Air Maroc plans to fly the 737 MAX 8 on routes from Casablanca to Accra, Lagos, London-Heathrow, Bologna and Paris (Orly and Charles de Gaulle).
Morocco's flag carrier welcomed its first 787-9 Dreamliner last week, also in the special livery, and it will receive three more 787-9s soon. (Photo: Boeing)
