Juneyao Airlines becomes 787 operator
- 19 October 2018 -
Boeing has delivered the first 787-9 Dreamliner for the Chinese airline Juneyao Airlines. It seats 290 passengers.
Juneyao Airlines ordered five 787-9 Dreamliners in early 2017 and took five options. So far, Juneyao Airlines was an all-Airbus operator, flying a mix of almost seventy A320s and A321s. The airline offers flights from Shanghai to more than fifty cities, mainly across China. With the introduction of the long-range Dreamliner, the carrier intends to expand its international network and increase flights to Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea.
Juneyao's first 787 is registered B-1115. Three aircraft will be painted in special liveries. The newly delivered 787 wears the colour scheme of the first aircraft on the image below.
