Etihad celebrates Saudi Day with 787-9

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Etihad in Saudi Day livery

- 21 September 2019 -
Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) are celebrating the 89th Saudi National Day. For this occasion Etihad will produce a series of special liveries on their aircraft.

The first disclosed livery is a special Saudi Arabian-inspired colour scheme painted on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The livery underlines the UAE’s close historical ties with Saudi Arabia with a mainly green islamic calligraphic and Mashrabiya latticework design.

In November 2018, Etihad Airways and Saudi Arabian Airlines started a codeshare partnership. Etihad Airways currently operates 77 flights per week to several destinations in Saudi Arabia. (Photo: Etihad Airways)
