Promising business for DHC Dash 8-400

Five customers have signed commitments for a total of 37 De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 turboprops at the Dubai Airshow.
Elin Group Limited signed a firm order for three Dash 8-400s. The company, with its headquarters in Nigeria, wants to use the aircraft to support Nigeria's resource sector, particularly for oil and gas operations.
Lessor Palma Holding Limited signed a letter of intent to acquire 20 Dash 8-400s. The company already leases Dash-8-400 aircraft to Ethiopian Airlines, RwandAir and Falcon Aviation and sees opportunities for more.
Another lessor, ACIA Aero Capital, signed a conditional purchase agreement for three Dash 8-400s. The company, with offices in Mauritius, Ireland, France and the Isle of Man, expects to need more Dash-8-400s in the coming years. In its current portfolio are several other types of turboprops and regional jets.
The Russian Aeroflot subsidiary Aurora signed a letter of intent to acquire five Dash 8-400 aircraft. The airline is based in Sakhalin and already flies eight Dash 8 aircraft, including two Dash 8-400s. The airline expects it will need even more in the coming years.
The government of the Republic of Ghana signed a letter of intent to purchase up to six Dash 8-400 aircraft. The country needs the aircraft for its recently announced plans to launch a new national airline based in Accra to serve domestic, regional and international routes. (Image: De Havilland Canada)
