United signs for 20 Embraer E175s

United Airlines has signed a firm order for 20 Embraer E175 aircraft at the Paris Air Show 2019 and taken options on 19 more.
Embraer will deliver the E-Jets in a 70-seat configuration. Deliveries are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2020. The newly ordered aircraft will replace older 70-seat aircraft currently operated by United’s regional partners.
Including this new contract, Embraer has sold more than 585 E175s to airlines in North America since January 2013. Embraer has so far logged more than 1,800 orders for the E-Jet family and 1,500 aircraft have been delivered. Today, E-Jets are flying in the fleets of 75 customers in 50 countries. (Photo: Embraer)
