- 8 June 2018 -
Bombardier and Airbus have received all required regulatory approvals to make the CSeries a combined project of the two aircraft manufacturers effective on 1 July 2018.

Airbus will acquire a majority stake in the CSeries. The partnership’s head office, primary assembly line and related functions will be based in Mirabel, Québec. A second production line will be set up in Mobile, Alabama, USA, dedicated to supply U.S.-based customers. Bombardier has delivered so far seventeen CSeries aircraft in 2017. The intention is to double the output in 2018. Bombardier and Airbus see a market for 6,000 aircraft in the market segment of airliners seating 100-150 passengers in the next twenty years.
