Sichuan Airlines orders ten Airbus A350s

- 16 July 2018 -
Sichuan Airlines, based in Chengdu in Southwestern China, has confirmed an earlier announced order for ten Airbus A350 XWB aircraft. The airline also leases four A350 XWBs, with the first one to be delivered by this year.
Sichuan Airlines will use the A350-900s to develop non-stop international long-haul services to North America and Europe. The airline already operates over 130 Airbus aircraft.
The order was signed at the Farnborough Airshow. Taiwanese start-up airline Starlux Airlines signed there a Memorandum of Understanding for seventeen A350-900s, with deliveries beginning in 2022. The airline wants to begin operations in late 2019 with Airbus A321neos. (Image: Airbus)
