Starlux Airlines orders Airbus A350s

Starlux Airlines, a start-up airline in Taiwan, has placed a firm order for seventeen Airbus A350 aircraft. The order comprises twelve A350-1000s and five A350-900s.
The airline intends to deploy the aircraft on long-haul services from Taipei to Europe, North America and destinations within the Asia-Pacific region.
According to founder and chairman K.W. Chang, formerly CEO at EVA Air, Starlux Airlines will become a high quality airline and has the ambition to become 'one of the best airlines in the world'.
Apart from the widebodies, the airline also want to fly ten leased Airbus A321neo aircraft. The plan is to start A321neo operations from early 2020 first. (Images: Airbus)
