Etihad unveils new Formula 1 logojet
- 22 November 2018 -
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has unveiled a new special livery to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Formula 1 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The livery, designed by fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg, has been painted on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at the Boeing facility in Charleston, South Carolina. The aircraft will participate in a low-level fly-by during the Grand Prix, accompanied by the airline’s Airbus A380 in special livery dedicated to UAE-founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. During a couple of years Etihad flew an Airbus A340-600 in a special Formula 1 livery, but this aircraft has been withdrawn from service recently.
