Peninsula Airways, operating as PenAir, is a regional airline based at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, but it also has a base at Boston Logan International Airport. It operates a network of scheduled passenger and cargo services, charters and medical evacuation services. The airline was founded in 1955 by then 19-years old Orin Seybert. PenAir started operating the Fairchild Swaeringen Metro III in 1987 and kept the type in service until 2011. The aircraft had painted images of different species of animals on the rear of the fuselage. The aircraft on the photograph shows a bald eagle.
