- 27 July 2019 -
Start-up regional airline Air Antwerp has received its first aircraft, a Fokker 50, painted in its full colour scheme.

The aircraft has been built in 1990 and was originally delivered to DLT and was later operated by Lufthansa CityLine, Air Nostrum, VLM Airlines, CityJet and Amapola Flyg. The new airline will primarily use the aircraft for training flights.

Air Antwerp is a 75/25 joint-venture between CityJet (Ireland) and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. Air Antwerp wants to fly regular flights from its Antwerp homebase to regional destinations in Europe. It is not known yet when these flights will begin. The airline is still waiting for its air operator's certificate from Belgium's aviation authorities. (Photos: Air Antwerp)
